Nat Bowen, is a British abstract artist renowned for her vibrant and multi-layered resin paintings. Bowen’s work is deeply rooted in Chromology, the study of color psychology, which she uses to communicate with viewers on a nonverbal level. Through her intricate process of pouring pigmented resin onto an acrylic base and manipulating it into abstract layers, Bowen creates luminous surfaces that reflect and absorb their surroundings, engaging viewers physically and emotionally. Her works often take on a meditative, three-dimensional quality, similar to the visuals experienced during states of deep reflection or mindfulness. In 2021, Bowen moved her studio from London to Dubai, where her artistic practice continues to evolve.
Her colorful sculptures, featured in DIFC Sculpture Park, invite viewers to reflect on the power of color and light, fostering connections and sparking a sense of community. Bowen’s exploration of color and meditation is central to her work, encouraging viewers to slow down, be present, and experience a deeper connection with her artistic vision.
